Becoming a Bestselling Author!

Welcome to my book promotion blog where I give you all the secrets of how I made $80,000 in one year selling romance books.  I'm not here to sell you anything, or convince you that my way is the only way.  I'm giving you the exact same tools I used, nothing more or less.  As the market changes you have to change with it to make money in this field.  It's really not rocket science.  Getting your name and books in front of as many people as you can is the ultimate goal.  I'll be the first to tell you that writing the best book in the world doesn't mean anything if you can't get it into the hands of readers!

How many times have you read a bestselling book and wondered how in the world it made it there? Some of them are great, but others?  Well let's just say it's not all about writing talent, but promoting yourself in such a way that readers can't help but want to read what you are writing.  I've read dozens of authors that I feel should have been bestsellers that never made it out of the oblivion of great books that no one else has heard of.  That doesn't have to be you!

So where do we start?  First you need a book you are willing to put your name behind.  Make sure it's formatted correctly.  I can't tell you how many times I've looked at the preview of a book and stopped reading because it wasn't visually appealing.  There is no reason in today's self-published world that any author shouldn't have a great format.  I use a template purchased from here:  Book Design Template.  There are options for both paperback and ebook, and I strongly advise using one.  There are free options for those not ready to invest and you can do a google search to find them.

The second thing that is an absolute necessity is an eye-catching cover.  More books are sold by cover than by blurbs and that should tell you all you need to know about why you MUST have a professional cover.  If you're a graphic artist then make your own, if not?  Hire someone to make your book stand out from the millions it's competing against.  I cannot stress enough how important this is. I'm going to list the cover artists I've used, but there are several hundred others you can find by again, doing a google search.

When you've got your book and cover ready, it's time to move on to the next phase.  Promotion. Please check the page tabs above.  I will be adding to them to guid you every step of the way.
